Updated to WP 2.3.1
I have updated the WP of this blog to version 2.3.1. There are some plugin incompatibility issues still lurking around, haven’t have time to troubleshoot yet.
I have deactivate most of the plugins, only the bare minimum are running now. Yt, I keep getting error messages saying the database is corrupted. Got to figure out how it can be repaired this weekend.

Hubby and I are not big on taking car loan to finance car purchase. We believe in paying cash to buy used car. In fact, we think buying new cars is not something 98% of the people out there should be doing.
Whether you like it or not, car IS a luxury item, suppose only the filthy rich(which most of us are not) can afford to buy a new car. New cars drop in value like a bag of rocks! According to statistics, a new car loses 60% of its value in the first 4 years.
When you save up and pay cash for a used car, you save a lot of money for not having to pay interest to the lender. Money is saved is because of depreciation. Used cars have already depreciated (60 to 70% in the first 5 years). Buying used allows the person who bought the car when it was new to eat the cost of the depreciation. Then the person who buys the car used can get a good car for much less than the new wholesale prices.
Anyway, it’s much easier to save $400 a month (the average car payment) for 10 months and buy a used car than to sign up for car finance and pay thousands of extra dollars in interest for several years! We believe the purpose of a vehicle is to get you from point A to point B. You are not feeling happy because you have a new car. The key to happiness is not a new car, so don’t pay for it like it is!
In fact, instead of sending money to the banks every month, we managed to save a hefty sum to pay down our house’s mortgage! Now that we are debt free, the house will be paid off in less than 10 years (17-year loan), and our goal is to do it in less than 7 years!

Do you like to try out all the quizzes in the women magazines? I love to try out those monthly quizzes on relationship and personalities on the women magazines, it is fun. My hubby always tease me and say they are not really reliable. He might be right, but I still love the fun of it!

Don’t you think this is a fun and interesting way to find out how well you online friends know you? For me, the quizzes are fun and entertaining, probably not so much for the purpose of getting to know more about yourself and your online friends. LOL
What more you have an amazing collection of quizzes, they more than seven thousands of quizzes to choose from! What are you waiting for? You can just start creating your own quizzes and integrate them into your Myspace account. Do not forget to pimp your online buddies to try them out too.

Most of my close friends are still single, they were not looking and were spending too much time at work previously. Now that they are ready to find somebody to share their lives, they find it difficult to meet any decent men in their present social circles because most men they know are married now.
I hope they would get to know someone and get hitched really soon. They are great friends and nice women, but most of them are spending too much time at work and they don’t have a lot of interactions with other people at work.
If they find it really hard at meeting people in real life, maybe they can just try out the Online Dating Sites. I do know a few friends who have successfully dated people they met online and now they are happily married with kids. There is always a possibility, we just have to be more careful and take extra precautions when trying to find a date online.
Actually, to get to know someone online is rather simple, my friends just have to start by creating profiles for themselves. Pretension may work online, but if they what to continue this in real life, they got to be real and honest about who they are. They can can write short introduction about themselves. I think a little sense of humor is great as it will be more eye-catching.
Additionally, they can also search through the database of dating sites and find those people that share the same interests. Most of the dating sites also have premium service that members pay a small fee for extra privileges. I think the members who are willing to pay a small fee show their eagerness and commitment to look for serious relationships. If not, will you be paying for it?

Phew, it has been a busy morning for me, I was out running a few errands. I didn’t have much time to mess with my blog and do any blog hopping. Surprisingly the roads were pretty clear for a rainy day. Normally when it rains here traffic start slowing down, thankfully it didn’t today.
It took me 2 hours to finish running all the errands. I finally went to the bank to collect the replacement credit card and Adsense payout. Though the Adsense payout is not a lot, it it’s sufficient to pay for this month’s utility bills, nice eh?
